Course Description

Students will be expected to participate in our two yearly concerts, winter and spring, which will feature both 7th and 8th Choirs along with Select Ensembles that students can participate in during PAWS. Parents will receive more information as these concerts approach including dates and warm-up times. I believe in giving students the opportunity to have a well-rounded music education. Therefore, all choirs will also be learning about music theory, performance etiquette, music history, and other fundamental principles. These experiences will be embedded into the student’s curriculum. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to facilitate student learning and success. I will provide students with the appropriate instructional tools to be successful but it is the student’s responsibility to dedicate him or herself to their education. The success of the choral program comes only through hard work, cooperation, and dedication of all members. I look forward to a year of successful and meaningful music making.
